Facilities

poor li moond is located in Traytown, Newfoundland, situated on the shore of Bonavista Bay. The facility is west of Terra Nova National Park which is a prime location for camping, hiking, and fishing.

Field Laboratory

The laboratory has a variety of mineral and crystal samples in the collection, as well as skeletal remains of several species that are available for comparative analysis.

The Loft

Accommodations for researchers are located above the laboratory. Short-term rentals or by the month are offered. It is a self-contained suite with a kitchenette, featuring one single room and one double. The Loft can also be rented by non-academic visitors when it is available.

Mayzoon di Nell

For crews who require a full kitchen and more room, Nell’s may be more suitable. Just a two-minute walk from the laboratory, the beach and Traytown Fisheries. It accommodates four individuals (2 double bedrooms).

The GreenHouse

With the much-appreciated help of a dozen individuals, poor li moond constructed a 26’ growing dome with an underground heating system to allow for year-round growing and harvesting of vegetables and herbs, as well as fruit trees such as lemon, lime and orange. For temperature regulation, a 1200-gallon pond was installed. The pond will sustain freshwater aquatic flora and fauna.
